Protect Students, Scholars and Artists
International education builds the groundwork for lasting peace, so it is particularly important to support the thousands of students and scholars affected by conflict or natural disasters each year. The dangerous environment in Syria shouldn’t stop a scholar from maintaining her studies and the unstable environment in Iraq shouldn’t silence the work of a professor. For a century, we have quickly responded to emergencies and provided a variety of programs that offer urgent financial support and services to help protect students, scholars, and artists.
The Scholar Rescue Fund
The Institute of International Education Scholar Rescue Fund® (IIE-SRF) and our many other initiatives to help students and academics in crisis formalize an unwavering commitment that IIE has demonstrated for over a century to preserve the lives, voices, and ideas of scholars around the globe.
